Reflection

I believe reflection is a missing part of most of our lives today. With all the day to day activities we find ourselves wrapped up in, the additional chaos we bring upon ourselves. All the technological invetions we find ourselves turning to for relaxation and escape. The overall sad state of affairs in the world making most of us are just looking for an outlet to get away.

I wonder how many people actually sit and reflect on themselves and the world around them on a daily basis. This something I don't see many of us doing anymore, and I wonder how it transfers over to the state of affairs in the world.
Would we all be in a better place if we just stopped and looked back at ourselves and our surroundings? I feel that we would be. Someone recently said something to me that is a great way to think of our problems in the most simplistic way I have heard in a while. When things aren't going that well for you look in the mirror and there is half of your problems.

How many people today though really do that and take the time to reflect on things, then acually deal with them and move on to bigger and better things in life?
